Exult to the popular ensemble Eskær Trio and their fascinating and engaging interplay.
Brahms and Stravinsky
Together with the awarded bratschist Ettore Causa, the trio performs Brahms’ Werther quartet. The title refers to the novel “The Sorrows of Young Werther” by Goethe, and is about how a young man unrequited in love commits suicide. Brahms was himself unrequited in love with Clara Schumann, when he composed the piece, in which one feels through both in the dreamy romantic Andante and the dark and dramatic han komponerede værket, hvilket man mærker både i den drømmende romantiske Andante og de mørke og dramatiske outer sentences.
Before Brahms the Eskær Trio perform Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne – a charming and graceful piece of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s baroque melodies, where Stravinsky’s resilient rhythms and timbre fills the room.

The concert takes about 60 minutes, and thereafter invites Nordatlantens Brygge on a glass of cooled rosé wine.
