During the recording of The Green Land Inuk Silis Høegh invited the sound artist Jacob Kirkegaard to collaborate. As Inuk Silis Høegh needed to entrust the sound of his film to another artist with challenging perspectives, no one better for the task is Jacob Kirkegaard, whom have recorded sound from everything in-between Greenland’s ice cap, Trump’s wall in Mexico, dead bodies and landfills.
How did the collaboration develop between an artist with a loss of hearing, and a sound artist’s microphone recording the almost inaudible. How did they in collaboration find the right balance between image- and sound narration?
